2008 ADDY Awards

On February 28, 2009 Red Productions received four awards at the 2008 AAF-Fort Worth ADDYs®. The ADDY® awards are conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation, which has over 200 members and 15 districts. Each AAF division holds its own competition and the winning pieces advance to the district and then national level. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry, and has over 60,000 entries annually that recognize all forms of advertising.

GOLD ADDY® - Campaign for TCU
Red Productions submitted projects to the awards for the first time this year and won in 4 of the 5 categories in which they were entered. The video created for Texas Christian University’s new fundraising campaign took the Gold ADDY® in the Audio Video Sales Presentation category and was one of only a few videos actually played during the awards ceremony. Red Productions has a longstanding relationship with TCU and was honored to be able to showcase this project.

GOLD ADDY® - Thomas’ Story, Samaritan House
The Samaritan House of Fort Worth also called on Red Productions this year to create a video to b e the centerpiece at their annual fundraising luncheon. This video, Thomas’ Story also brought home a gold ADDY® in the Public Service Audio/Visual category. “It was such an honor to be able to work with everyone at the Samaritan House to share Thomas’ story of triumph with the community,” said Amanda Godwin, Marketing Coordinator. This is the second piece Red Productions has created for the Samaritan House among several other projects over the years and look forward to a continued relationship.

GOLD ADDY® - Lone Star International Film Festival Bumper
Last year, Lone Star Film Society launched Lone Star International Film Festival to celebrate cinema and bring independent film to Fort Worth. The five-day festival featured 50 screenings ranging from feature films to documentaries as well as animated and short films from all over the world. Red Productions was asked to create the sponsor reel that was played prior to each screening. “We are passionate about film and were thrilled to have the opportunity to take part in the festival,” said Red Sanders, President. This award brought in a Gold ADDY® in the Cinema Advertising category.

BRONZE ADDY® - WiQuest “Why Are You Wired” Web Commerical
Red Productions also received a Bronze ADDY® in the Online/Internet Commercial category for a web commercial they created to kick off a contest WiQuest Communications was holding to promote their new wireless USB products. The theme was “Why Are You Wired?” and viewers were encouraged to think of creative things to do with the no longer needed computer wires, using Red Production’s piece as an example.
