Red Productions Edits Dido Music Video to be Seen Worldwide

October 1, 2008

Red Productions has been selected to edit a music video for British singer-songwriter, Dido.  She has sold more than 24 million albums worldwide and been nominated for several awards including a Grammy.  Dido is debuting her third album and each track will contain a short film that goes along with the song.  Red Productions editor Sam Parnell will be editing a piece for the track “Don’t Believe in Love.”  This is an opportunity for Red Productions to work in another medium of film and have their work shown internationally.  Dido wanted the films for each song to be led by imagery rather than dialogue to allow the audience to connect with each piece on an emotional level.

The film for “Don’t Believe in Love” was filmed in Mississippi and follows the story of two young people who are in love but in need of an experience to bring them closer together.  They come across 92-year old Dennis and his wife Margaret.  They live in a house that is filled with treasures, trinkets and memories from the years that make up their love story.  By the end of the song the young couple has built a relationship with Dennis and Margaret that has allowed them to unabashedly love each other as this couple does.  This film evokes a message of love and devotion that many have forgotten.

Red Productions has done a few music video projects, but specializes in corporate and commercial videos.  Many of these however use music to tie together the story they are telling through film.  They are proud to add this piece to their repertoire.  For more information call 817-810-0777 or email info@redproductions.com.
