Red Sanders

Red Sanders – President, Producer, Dreamer

Red Sanders started his first successful entertainment company at the ripe age of 14. Since then, he has combined his entrepreneurial spirit, media expertise, and love of visual storytelling to create one of the premier media companies in DFW.

An adventurer at heart, Red has traveled the globe producing content for major brands and the silver screen alike. Recently, Red returned from DR Congo where he began filming a documentary on child soldiers. After being accused of spying, he and his team subsequently spent six days in a Congolese jail before being deported back to the United States.

Red Sanders graduated from Texas Christian University where he majored in Radio, Television and Film, and studied in the Neeley Entrepreneurship Program. His first documentary film, REGENERATION, landed an Emmy for Outstanding Student Achievement. His first feature film, KARMA POLICE, was invited to premiere at the AFI Dallas Film Festival and has played at festivals throughout the U.S. and internationally, landing a distribution deal in early 2009. His next film SEARCHING FOR SONNY will be released in 2011.

Red loves giving back in terms of time, talent, touch, and treasure. He enjoys mentoring students and teaching through his company’s internship program. Red also donates video services to meaningful organizations such as Happy Hill Farm Academy and he puts on a yearly conference in Austin called the Texas Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values.

Sam Parnell

Sam Parnell – Senior Editor

Sam runs all post-production activities at Red Productions – developing streamlined processes and ensuring we’re at the forefront of technology, equipment, and content delivery. He is also a very accomplished editor, having worked on feature films, national TV spots, highlight videos for professional sports teams, music videos and more.

Sam’s editing skills likely come from his “tiny editing fingers,” which blaze across the keyboard, knowing every Final Cut shortcut in their little finger-brains. It’s been claimed that Sam knows Final Cut’s ins and outs so well, he could edit blindfolded – although we couldn’t promise that the final product would be any good.

Sam has a degree from the Radio/TV/Film Department at TCU, a fancy “REDucation” certificate from RED post-production training, and is two-time TCU intramural champion for Texas Hold’em poker. He would also like to challenge you to game of NCAA Football 2011, but only if he gets to be the Horned Frogs.

Chris Rodriguez

Chris Rodriguez – Director, DP, Producer

Chris is a curious student of life, who’s passion for visual art began at a very early age. Charcoal, oil paints, prisma sticks – these were his tools. But during his senior year of high school, Chris began to long for new visual tools and ultimately turned to film. He married his visual skills with a strong sense of story while pursuing a degree in Film from the University of North Texas.

Upon graduation, Chris joined the Red Productions team and quickly proved that his talents extended beyond cinematography, to directing and producing as well. Chris thrives under pressure and hot lights. He has filmed and directed several award winning videos for Red Productions and he is equally proud of is his role as Camera Operator on the feature film, SEARCHING FOR SONNY.

Chris is an expert in the RED Digital Cinema Camera and brings this important skill to all of our projects.

Erin-Ostenson

Erin Ostenson – Account Director

Erin loves learning people’s stories and finding the most creative and impacting way to share them with the world. This is an important piece of her job as Account Director because much time is spent learning about our clients and carefully walking a project through each phase of the creative process, always ensuring we stay in line with the client’s goals.

After graduating from Texas Christian University with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations, Erin went on to manage key accounts for The Wall Street Journal. As a Board Member of Cuisine For Healing, she has the opportunity to exercise her passion for nutrition and wellness by developing new programs to engage with the community and grow the organization.

Erin spearheads the development of our dedicated client services team and is always searching for new ways Red Productions can add to its suite of creative services.

Scott-Nichols

Scott Nichols – Marketing and Distribution Director

Growing up in a small town in the Texas Panhandle, Scott Nichols looked to technology as an escape from the prairie. He built his own computer when he was 15, edited his first video at 16, and believe it or not, kissed a girl before the age of 17.

After receiving a degree in Advertising/Public Relations from Texas Christian University, Scott worked as an Interactive Account Executive at the Balcom Agency in Fort Worth. At Balcom, Scott worked primarily on digital projects and video production before joining Red Productions in 2011. Scott has extensive experience creating digital marketing strategies and implementing social media initiatives.

When he’s not on twitter or facebook, Scott enjoys playing guitar and drinking scotch, though not always in that order.

Matt Munson

Matt Munson – Production Assistant, Assistant Editor

The baby of the group, Matt discovered his talent for visual storytelling in high school where he made critically acclaimed videos for his Spanish class in Brownwood, TX. Hoping to share his talent with the world, Matt graduated from TCU with a degree in Film Television & Digital Media.

Matt loves all aspects of filmmaking and serves as a valuable member of our team by organizing physical production, as well as shooting, editing and special effects. Kids can do it all these days! He plans to one day write, compose, produce, and direct the greatest movie musical of all time.

Sherry

Sherry Gaff – Office Manager

Sherry likes to keep everyone in line. She has a background in HR, and does everything possible to keep the office running smoothly. Born and raised in West Texas, she had to rely on her huge imagination from an early age. She first became passionate about film after being blown away by “Jaws”, and then never wanting to venture out into the water again! With this new-found passion for movies, Sherry gained a wealth of knowledge when it comes to film. And music as well, she probably knows the words to every song on your playlist!

She has been happily married for seven years, and has the cutest little boy in the world named Jenson. She hopes to raise the next Paul Newman or Jimmy Stewart.

Her interests include television shows that are so good that they are cancelled after one season, and any documentary she can get her hands on.
