In January of 2004 Red Productions teamed up with Golden Globe & Emmy Award Winner, Stephen Hopkins and Schmaguuli Entertainment to edit the initial “fizzle reel” for Driving Force. After a week of sleepless nights, the first reel for Driving Force was complete. Upon completion, the reel was used to successfully pitch the reality series featuring drag racing legend John Force and his three drag racing daughters. Driving Force will premier on A&E Monday, July 17th at 8PM CST.

John Force, who has been likened to the Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan of drag racing is described as “one of the most outrageous personalities in the history of American sports, combining the dangerous charisma and charm of Gary Busey and Elvis with the down home likeability of Andy Griffith.” The reality series follows the drag racing careers of the Force family and documents John’s attempts to make up for lost time after spending the majority of his daughters’ lives on the road. According to A&E’s official press release, Driving Force will be “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter meets the bone-rattling thrills of the drag strip.”
